Burford District Elementary SchoolBurford, Ontario 72 / 500 Books Given
Principal Mary Ann Shay There are close to 500 students at Burford. Burford has French Immersion classes K-5 as well as K-8 classes in the English track. The number of French text selections in the library is low but growing. The Picture Book collection is over 25 years old. New books create an interest in reading, especially when we get to choose the books. Students and Teachers are creating lists of books and favourite authors that they would like to see in the library. Mr. Best is weeding out the old and worn books to make space for new books that will engage the students.
