Principal Rudy Stein At Bowcroft we have a diverse population, who have not yet developed a love of reading. Adding books that are current and high interest will help to hook students into reading. We have many students who are reading below grade level. We need to update our library collection to include books that are at grade level and meet the curricular outcomes. The books are falling apart, outdated, not attractive to students and they smell!

I have seen the importance of early childhood reading!!! My there's kids are all under 5 and we spend a lot of time each day reading! Because of this my 5 year old is already recognizing words, sounding out words and spelling! All from spending time reading with them! What a joy!
