Principal David Lee Hampstead School has a unique literacy program where students receive reading instruction 90 minutes a day at their reading level. We want to encourage our students to find enjoyment in books and to become life-long learner and readers. By revitalizing our library with new books interesting and relevant to today's young children, we can get our students excited about reading. With a high proportion of special needs students, we foster a philosophy of inclusion and we work to help our students improve their literacy skills in order to improve overall success in school.
