Buffalo Rubbing Stone

Calgary, Alberta 1735 / 540 Books Given

Principal Cathy Turner Buffalo Rubbing Stone is a new school that opened in September of 2016 with a skeleton collection of books in classrooms and in the library. In order to increase the collection to the number of books needed for our student population to allow them proper access to literature, we will need to fund raise. With focus on disciplinary literacy, our students need many different genres of books to develop a love of reading and to improve both decoding, vocabulary, and comprehension of a variety of texts.

Favourite books Grade 1 and 2 students in Mrs. Hill and Mrs. de Jesus's class have shared their top five favourite books:
1. Frog and Toad
2. Captain Underpants
3. Elephant and Piggie
4. Rainbow Magic Fairy series
