St. Vincent de Paul Elementary SchoolMississauga, Ontario 16 / 180 Books Given
Principal Ms. Dubravka Brkic
Our small school has an equally small library budget and we are simply unable to provide the quality and quantity of books that our students deserve. We were fortunate enough to have been adopted once before and were able to update our library, however there are still areas that we did not have enough funds to renew.
Our students are hard working, kind and love reading; having a greater variety of current books in the library would be a great gift to them. Our students are exposed to reading at home through the books they take out each week and we’d love to keep their enthusiasm ripe by offering the best that we can. All of our teachers do the best by reading e-books with the children in class, however, we still believe that bringing books home, to read with family, is what encourages children in all areas of their education.
We feel that being adopted during this fall program will bring us a much needed helping hand that will directly benefit our students.
