Glen St P.S.

Oshawa, Ontario 40 / 400 Books Given

Principal Michelle Carter We need to update the curriculum-linked literature to support our Literacy, Math, Science and Social Studies programming.
We have renovated our Library Learning Commons and need to purge out-dated materials. It is critical that we build a collection of culturally-relevant materials and resources for our students.
Our school is in a low-socioeconomic community, where the Library Learning Commons is one of the few places that our students have access to books and learning materials.
With a growing, diverse population and high FNMI student ratio, we need to better reflect the faces of our students in our Library Learning Commons.
We have also created a Parent-Lending Library through a PRO-grant and we would like to continue to support our entire school community and some of their high-needs.
