Janet Johnstone School

Calgary, Alberta 55 / 466 Books Given

Principal Michele Wills Janet Johnstone School has gone through many changes over the past 10 years and our Library/Learning Commons has also changed. Our school was originally set up as an English K-6 school but when the middle school opened in our area, we became an English K-4 school and the French program had started that same year. We are now a K-4 school for both English and French programs and our student population has grown with the programs. As a result of all these changes, our collections in the Library have changed a great deal. Due to these changes and budget cuts we are in need of the following: Non-Fiction, Picture Books, Early Readers, Chapter Books and books for Guided Reading. This opportunity would help us with the replacement of English and French damaged and/or old books and acquire new books for all the sections in our Library.
