Alta Vista Public SchoolOttawa, Ontario 338 / 620 Books Given
Principal Guido Ronci Our library has many outdated and old well-worn books that need to be updated. Our students are very enthusiastic about visiting the library each week to make their selection. Many students never get to visit public libraries and therefore the school library is the main source for reading material. Because of the number of students and the very low library budget, we are unable to purchase replacements of popular books such as Diary of a Wimpy kid. As the librarian, I spend a lot of time taping up precious books that are almost beyond repair ready for the next keen student to read.
