Arklan Community Public School

Carleton Place, Ontario 96 / 380 Books Given

Principal Stacie Dowdall At Arklan we strive to promote a love of reading among our students. By adding new books every year, we believe it will help our students stay interested in reading and nurture their creativity and imagination as they get older and progress in their academic years.
Unfortunately with such a small budget, we are limited in the number of books we can add every year, even with a yearly fundraising campaign. Our school could benefit immensely with the addition of even more books to our library.

Favourite books We've asked some of our staff what their favorite books were growing up:
Mr. Patterson - Are You My Mother? by P.D. Eastman
Mrs. Swackhammer - The Monster at the End of this Book by Jon Stone
Mrs. Paul - Newton and the Giant by Michael McGowan
Mrs. Pentz - Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst
Mrs. Leclair - Charlotte's Web by E.B. White
