Ripple Rock Elementary

Campbell River, British Columbia 12 / 320 Books Given

Principal Philip Cizmic Our students love reading; however, like most schools, funds to purchase books are extremely limited. Literacy is a school focus and we endeavour to develop a love of reading with our students and their families. We have a population of 320 students. Approximately 55% of our students are Indigenous with almost 25% of our students living on reserve. We work closely with our community to promote literacy at school and at home. The socio-economics of our school are varied as we are the product of three school closures in the community; as such, our catchment area is quite large. Approximately 40% of our students are classified as vulnerable.
