Principal Jamie Hunt At Beautiful Botwood Collegiate, we are currently moving towards a Library Learning Commons model. There is no current budget available to purchase new books or resources for our space. We have very little updated books for our students to enjoy and, in our intensive weeding process this year, we have lost 98% of our collection due to outdated or damaged books. It would be amazing to have an opportunity to receive updated 21st c subjects in the areas of science, technology, as well as more Young Adult Literature. We are a high profile, high needs school with one third of our entire school population with diagnosed exceptionalities. Twenty percent of these students have a specific learning disorder in reading and / or writing. These students would benefit from any graphic novels, or HI LO novels, purchased from the grant to stay motivated in reading. Our Library Learning Commons is quickly becoming a space where we foster the love of literacy through various book clubs, maker-spaces, and STE(A)M projects. Given the right books, our students can soar to new heights in their reading adventures. Please consider donating a book to our school. You can help our students become successful leaders of tomorrow with your generous donations.

After spending time at Botwood Collegiate as both a student and a teacher, I'm very happy to see that the school community is receiving the help it deserves to improve the lives of students through the library learning commons. A huge thank you to Ms. Har
What a great program! Happy to be able to contribute!
May you find wonder, adventure, and a wealth of knowledge in the literature you read. Best wishes to all the students and staff at Botwood Collegiate!
This is amazing! The library has been neglected and poorly funded for many years, I am glad I can participate in the refilling of such a valuable resource.
I fell in love with reading at a very young age. My relationship with books began as a toddler, however I think my love for books began at age five, when I started primary school. I remember coming home from kindergarten one day, eager to show my parents what I’d been given by the teacher- my ...
I am currently the teacher librarian at Botwood Collegiate and I have to say that we have some pretty fantastic readers in our building. I support Botwood Collegiate's Library Learning Commons for those readers that we have already and those readers that are not yet readers due to not having ...
I support Botwood Collegiate because supporting this school means a world of opportunity for the students. For many students, access to literature has meant an escape from a reality that is much, much less than desirable. Other students read to be exposed to culture and places they dream of ...
So glad you were adopted, Botwood Collegiate; fill those shelves
Botwood Collegiate is a great school! Both my daughters attended school there. The Library has become a popular spot since Ms Harnum arrived! She is a blessing to the students and the school. Hope they get all the books they want!!
To see our students get excited about reading is one of the highlights of my teaching day. We already have a strong population of book lovers at our school and hopefully this opportunity will help those numbers to grow. Thanks to those who can contribute
