Margaret Ma Murray Community School

Fort St. John, British Columbia 363 / 340 Books Given

Principal Kathy Scheck We are a brand new school set to open in September 2018. The district has provided a budget and we are working to get a great collection for the students in the school. It is imperative for our population to have a library that has enough books for everyone to enjoy. Currently we have around 6000 titles. A school library in Fort St. John has an average of 15000 titles. We need your help to continue to build our library to achieve this goal. Many of our students are new to Canada so we need lots of books to support their English Language development. Any funds generated through Indigo Love of Books Reading foundation will go directly to increasing our collection. Through this program, schools also receive 30% discount on all books. That means $100 worth of books costs the school $70. If we can raise $1000 that means we have $1300 to spend on books. All donations are greatly appreciated.
