Muskoday First Nation Community School

Muskoday, Saskatchewan 24 / 130 Books Given

Principal Andrew DeBray The library is in the community school located on a First Nation. The school is PreK to Grade 9.
The school has been in operation for 12 years. All of the books were donated in the beginning. Many of the books were very outdated. I have a $3000 budget I work with every year. With this I buy all my library supplies. If there is any left over I can buy some books. The only fundraiser is the Scholastic Book Fair every year. With the rewards, 100% goes towards new books
(anywhere from $1000-1500). This is not a lot when it comes to new books. Many of the books I have are of Aboriginal nature because of the culture content. I would like to buy new books of other genres as well. I believe many children do not have books at home so I think it's very important for all students to be able to have books at school.
