Reading is the most important thing you can teach any child. It opens up worlds we couldn’t have imagined. It allows us to feel empathy and fills us with a satisfaction that no one can take from us.
I fell in love with reading as a child in Portugal. The library truck would come by our house on Saturdays and we were so excited to exchange our books.
My aunt works at Harwood and loves her students, staff and community. She loves reading and is always buying children’s books to share with her students.
