Lindsay, Ontario 25 / 392 Books Given

Principal Shelia Piggot We are an elementary school located in Lindsay. We have French immersion and English programs. Due to the increasing cost of French materials, I have not been able to replace them as needed. I am hoping with the adopt-a-school program, I can expand the library to better serve all students. I am hoping this can be a boost to the current library budget.

Favourite books As the new school year start I am starting to see new trends for favourites, the primary grades are enjoying their first foray into the picture books and easy readers. Their favourites include anything about unicorns, monsters, Paw Patrol, and classic Robert Munsch.
The junior grades are starting to discover their preferred genre. They are enjoying the easy chapter books and the fiction books. Their preference is for things like I survived, Diary of a wimpy kid, Geronimo Stilton, Magic Tree house.
The intermediate students are excited to have access to the 'Teen' books. Most of the students have a preferred genre at this point. They are enjoying things like Eric Walters, anything with a supernatural twist and they are also liking historical fiction.
