The school was affected by the May 2016 Wildfire in Fort McMurray and still has a small selection of library books.
Because the school is located in Abasand, a largely affected area from the Wildfire, the staff and students were relocated for the majority of the 2016/2017 school year and had to throw away everything due to smoke damage.
When re-purchasing necessary supplies, unfortunately, the school library was sacrificed.
Students from Ecole Boreal expressed themselves through art by drawing their "Dream Library."
The last fundraising event that Sydnee organized was a PJ/Family Movie Night at the school on Sept 28th. This event allowed families to spend time together with the staff and other members of the school community. Families were invited to bring their blankets, pillows, snacks and watch a movie on...
Monday October 24th was Grade Color Day!Sydnee gave each grade (and staff) a color and they could support the program by donating $1.
Do you remember the days when your teacher told you to take off your hat in class? Today staff and students at Ecole Boreal had the opportunity to donate $1 to wear their favourite hat all day.
