Jeanne Sauve French Immersion Public SchoolSt. Catharines, Ontario 23 / 640 Books Given
Principal Robyn Scheubel
We are a large school that just opened our doors 4 years ago. We inherited a lot of our books from other schools and they are dated.
Our students love joining our reading clubs in the school and we do not have enough books for them to all be able to join and have had to limit the number of students. We would love for our reading club to be available to more students.
Although the School Advisory Council has helped buy books in the past, we had no playground at the school when it opened so most fundraising efforts have had to go toward that and our library has suffered.
And finally, being a French Immersion school we really need to be able to provide our students with a good selection of both French and English language books, requiring doubles of many books.
