Parkland Elementary School

Coquitlam, British Columbia 449 / 270 Books Given

Principal Chris Hunter Many of our books and library resources at Parkland Elementary have shown wear and tear due to age and use. A limited budget and limited financial resources have made it challenging to keep up with the needs and literary interests of our young readers; many of our books are now on average 10-20 years old. Our goal is to renovate and refresh the entire library space over the next 3 years as the space itself hasn't been renovated since the school opened over 40 years ago. We aim to make our library a more welcoming, engaging, and vibrant space for our learners with a larger selection of books to cozy up with for reading time at school and at home. We are very grateful to be participating in the Adopt a School program to help us reach our literacy goals in supporting young readers!
