Principal William Tichenoff We have amazing students at Byron Northview who love to come to the library to find great books to read. Our books are well loved and treasured but showing signs of age. The library is the vibrant hub of the school. Each day, classes use our library for research, robotics and for independent reading. However, there are some challenges to maintaining a current collection.
1. The library budget has not kept up to our steadily growing diverse student population.
2. Our collection is aging and needs to be constantly updated to reflect current information and the latest "HOT" titles that our students demand.
3. We service 563 students from JK-grade 8 with a wide spectrum of needs and interests. Trying to meet curriculum demands and personal reading interests at a variety of reading levels is not an easy task.
Our goal at B.N. is reading comprehension. Please help us spread the love of reading by providing new, dynamic and high-interest books for our students to become lifelong learners and readers. We must put the right book in the right child's hands at the right time. We know that when a child loves to read, they do much better in school. Thanks for helping our students FOR FREE by clicking on ADOPT our SCHOOL. Spread the word. Anyone with an e-mail address can adopt our school.
