Queen Street P.S.

Brampton, Ontario 6 / 500 Books Given

Principal Sue Fraleigh Queen Street Public School is a truly outstanding school that not only fosters excellence, but also possesses a climate that values and embraces all who enter. Since opening in 2003, we have become known as a school with heart, celebrating diversity and developing a sense of social responsibility in our students and our community.

Our school is a community of learners with high expectations for all. The staff is caring, enthusiastic and committed to supporting our students to become problem solvers, risk takers and critical thinkers. We partner with parents to foster a love of reading and to focus on developing communication and literacy skills necessary for our 21st century learners and global citizens.

The library is the hub of our school. Last year, over 21,000 books were borrowed and read in 10 months. Our avid readers, including six classes of Full-Day Kindergarten students, visit the library on a daily basis. With hundreds of emergent readers and writers, the demand on our library collection is significant. Many books are well loved, but in various states of disrepair. Any contributions to enhancing our collection will be truly valued and gratefully received.
