To narrow my favourite children books to just three is a challenging task. There are classic stories from my childhood that I feel every library should have and then there are the latest books from 2018 that librarries should have since they are current and address current issues that children deal with. That being said, my top three picks would be:

1) Wonder by R.J. Palacio because this story is truly inspiring, well written and deals with important topics such as bullying, friendship and self-acceptance. A truly heart warming novel that leaves readers engaged from beginning to end.

2) We're All Wonders by R.J. Palacio because it is a beautiful picture book based on the novel Wonder that teaches younger readers the importance of choosing kindness.

3) The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein because it's a classic story that is just as relevant when it was first published in 1964 as it is today.

Happy Reading!
