My first public school librarian, Mrs. Coleman. She read aloud and then answered my many questions. She also helped me chose books and expressed an interest in my interests. From there, once I figured out that there was an even bigger town library (with the 'B&G' department in a wonderful octagonal brick building) I was hooked on reading. I hope that students at W.E. Gowling are given the chance to develop the same positive relationship with their librarian, the school library and collection it holds.
