“The more you read, the more things you know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” The above famous quote by Dr. Seuss is very important in our family.
Reading is such a vital skill in today’s society. Reading is how we discover new things and how we learn to develop a positive self-image. Reading helps us to broaden our horizons, expands our minds and develops our endless imagination.
My daughters Emily and Isabel can’t get enough of a good book. Emily at 10 years old is a voracious reader. I never thought this would happen but we have to go and say ‘turn off the lights, put the book down and please go to sleep.’ She absolutely loves to read.
The Brock School library provides such an incredible opportunity for the students to grow, learn and interact with each other. My girls look forward to spending time at the library. Library day is always a highlight at our house and they are always excited to show me the books they have picked out. Thank you to Ms. Kondo and the teachers at Brock for all your hard work and continued support.
